TRANS SAFE Centre

Consultation Hours: 9 am - 5 pm (Mon - Fri)

Executive Director: Mrs Yee-Chow Choy Yin
Date started operation: January 2007

TRANS SAFE Centre is a voluntary welfare organisation and our key objective is to help individuals and families build safe relationships.

We offer a range of services for people who are trying to manage issues of family violence, elder abuse and elder care. The Centre is also equipped with a video link-up system with the Family Court that allows victims of family violence to apply for a Protection Order.

Our Services
For Individuals and Families

If you find yourselves unable to resolve conflicts in a relationship, and many of your arguments end in violence, you may be in an abusive relationship. Our social workers can help you with

  • counselling services
  • referrals to shelters and free legal advice

For the Elderly

Many elderly who are abused find it embarrassing and painful to disclose what is happening and remain silent for fear that disclosure will bring shame. If you are in such a situation, you can talk to our social workers in confidentiality. They can help you with

  • counselling, referrals, and mediation
  • applying for a Personal Protection Order (PPO)
  • approaching the Tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents

For Caregivers

Being a caregiver to an elderly can be physically and emotionally demanding. Our social workers can

  • provide you with emotional support and help you deal with stress and anger management
  • mediate with family members to engage them in providing care
  • organise support group meetings where you can share your feelings and experiences with others in the same situation
